Simon is a self taught sculptor and has turned his love and passion for birds and wildlife into a full time career.
Simon spends a large amount of his free time exploring the Pennine countryside, drawing and watching the subjects that he sculpts.
His ceramic sculptures are constructed in crank clay and decorated with a mixture of oxides, stains and slips.
The firing process exceeds 1200 degrees centigrade making the sculptures suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
He exhibits in many Galleries and one off exhibitions both in the uk and abroad.
He has been published by the Who’s who in Art since 2011.
Simon also makes site specific sculpture to commission for private clients.
Simon uses a very smooth clay to make the masters for the bronze work, this enables the foundry to capture the very fine detail and textures in the sculptures.
